Performance Notes | "Vernon Sollas, of Edinburgh, won the vacant British featherweight title at only 20 years of age at the Albert Hall last night when he knocked out the former champion, Jimmy Revie, in 2 minutes 40 sec of the fourth round. This was the shortest contest for this title since 1953 when Ronnie Clayton, a spectator last night, beat Freddie King in four rounds." "Alan Minter was given a much disputed ten rounds middleweight points victory over a former British light-middleweight champion, Larry Paul, by 98.5 points to 98. Billy Knight gained his eighth victory in nine professional contests when he beat Pat Thompson from Liverpool through the intervention of the referee." (The Times, 26 March 1975)
