Performance NotesLanguage Warning: This record contains ableist language. For historic accuracy we have chosen not to remove or hide contentious language but instead retain and address its inclusion.

The soloist Pauline Tinsley became too ill to continue halfway through this performance. Her place was taken by a member of the audience, an infant teacher Julia Dewhurst, who was a member of the London Choral Society, and the concert continued.
