Biography | Clarinettist Elaine Ruby regularly performs as a chamber musician, freelance orchestral player and recitalist while she studies for her Masters degree at the Royal College of Music.
In July 2012 she graduated from the Royal Academy of Music with first class honours, and whilst studying for her degree made her debut solo performance at Queen Elizabeth Hall, performing Boulezs Domaines for solo clarinet and ensemble, directed by Susanna Maalki, as part of the Esquisite Labyrinth concert series.
Also a keen orchestral player, in 2011 she attended the London Symphony Orchestra Saint Luke's Academy, and participated in the BBC Symphony Orchestra Pathway Scheme in the Autumn term of 2012. She travelled to New York last July to perform in the Lincoln Centre, followed by a performance in the BBC Proms with a joint symphony orchestra from the Royal Academy of Music and the Julliard School. Elaine works with Aurora Orchestra and the RPO among others. |
