Biography | Ramon Remedios, tenor, was born in Liverpool and studied at the Guildhall School of Music, winning several vocal awards, then at the National School of Opera and the London Opera Centre. He has had several opera contracts with Welsh National Operqa and as a principal tenor at English Opera for 3 years during which time his roles included Alfredo (La Traviata), Rudolfo (La Boheme), Don Jose (Carmen), Pinkerton (Madame Butterfly) and Paris (La Belle Helene). Ramon has appeared on Channel 4's Top C's and Tiaras and in Central TV's production of The Word by Rick Wakeman, of which he has made a recording with Eton Chapel Choir and Robert Powell as narrator. Other recordings include Kalman's Countess Maritza with New Sadler's Wells Opera, and an album of Rick Wakeman's songs A Suite of Gods. Recent performances have been with the ENO (in Christmas Eve and Eugene Onegin) and the Royal Opera (Die Fledermaus and Attila). |
