Biography | The English lecturer, conductor, adjudicator, composer and arranger, Louis Halsey, studied music at Cambridge, where he sang in the celebrated Kings College Choir, before embarking on a music career which has taken him all over the world conducting, lecturing, examining and adjudicating.
Louis Halsey was the founder of the Elizabethan Singers and the Louis Halsey Singers, directing performances and recordings of a wide variety of music, including many commissions and first performances. He has held posts at the BBC, at the University of Illinois and with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Choir. He is now Director of Music at Regents College, London and is active as a freelance lecturer, conductor, adjudicator, composer and arranger. |
