Biography | Born in Birmingham, John Cashmore studied at the Birmingham Conservatoire and National Opera Studio London, working extensively with the great Italian baritone Tito Gobbi. His career, compassing over sixty roles from Opera, Oratorio to Musicals, to date has taken him to many of the major opera houses, theatres and concert halls of Europe. Following his success in the British premiere of Bernstein's "A Quiet Place" in 1989, John was personally recommended, on a number of occasions, by Bernstein himself, which has led to many performances of his works including "Mass" and "West Side Story". |
