Biography | Henryk Czyz (16 June 1923, Grudziadz, Poland 16 January 2003, Warsaw, Poland) was a Polish conductor and composer.
Czyz was a composer in his own right and wrote a number of books which are highly regarded. He was a champion of Polish contemporary music, particularly Penderecki whose Polish Requiem he recorded in 1985, and enjoyed an international reputation, giving concerts in Europe, South America, and the USA. |
