Biography | Simon John Pegg ( born 14 February 1970, Brockworth, Gloucestershire, England) is an English actor, comedian, screenwriter and film producer.
He is best known for having co-written and starred in the Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy of films, consisting of Shaun of the Dead (2004), Hot Fuzz (2007), and The World's End (2013), and the comedy series Spaced (19992001), all of them directed by his friend Edgar Wright.
He portrayed Montgomery Scott in the 2009 film Star Trek and its sequel Star Trek Into Darkness (2013). He played Benji Dunn in the Mission: Impossible film series, and Thompson in The Adventures of Tintin (2011). Much of his major work has been in collaboration with some combination of Wright, Nick Frost, Jessica Hynes, and Dylan Moran. |
