Biography | Jacobsson, Petter (b Stockholm, 1963).Swedish dancer, choreographer, and ballet director. He studied at the Royal Swedish Ballet School (1971-81) and at the Vaganova School in St Petersburg (1981-2). He danced with the Royal Swedish Ballet (1982-3), was soloist with London Festival Ballet (1983), and was principal dancer with Sadler's Wells Royal Ballet (later Birmingham Royal Ballet) from 1985 to 1990, although he continued to appear as a guest artist with the company until 1994. In 1991-2 he made his choreographic debut with Birmingham Royal Ballet when he created Someone. In 1994 he went to New York where he danced with Tharp among others.
