Biography | Richard Paul Fink has been acclaimed internationally as a leading dramatic baritone in appearances with theaters which have included the Metropolitan Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Berlin State Opera, Opera National de Paris, San Francisco Opera, Houston Grand Opera, Washington Opera, San Diego Opera, Hamburg State Opera, Welsh National Opera, Scottish Opera, Theatre du Capitole, Toulouse, Sydney Opera as well as at the Bregenz and Ravinia Festivals. His repertoire comprises of some of the most challenging roles of the baritone canon such as the title role in Wagners Der Fliegende Hollaender, Telramund in Wagners Lohengrin, Pizarro in Beethovens Fidelio, the title roles in Verdis Nabucco and Rigoletto, as well as Iago in Otello, Scarpia in Puccinis Tosca, Gerard in Giordanos Andrea Chenier and many others.
He started the 2012/2013 season with Tristan und Isolde at Teatro La Fenice in Venice, and was then heard in Rusalka at Teatro San Carlo in Naples, in Die Frau Ohne Schatten at the Metropolitan Opera, Nixon in China in Dallas, and Fidelio in Santa Fe. Engagements for the 2013/2014 season include his return to the Calgary Opera as the Dutchman in The Flying Dutchman amongst others
