Biography | Studied at Verviers Conservatoire and graduated aged 11 years. First performance given in Nottingham, England. Visited Sydney, Australia in 1901, 1902 and 1923. Toured Russia, Europe and America. Married Miss Amelia McQuade in 1908. Fought in the First World War in the First World War as a Private. Played at a series of concerts for Belgian troops on the Front organised by the King and Queen of Belgium, the greatest of which was an English Red Cross concert in London at the Hall in 1917 at which the King and Queen of England, Queen Alexandra and rge King and Queen of Belgium were present. Died in Spa, Belgium in July 1929. |
