Biography | Born in England, the soprano Rachael Tovey studied from 1985 to 1991 at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, winning a number of singing competitions. She then embarked on an independent career as a singer, appearing with the English National Opera and at the Glyndebourne Festival. In 1995 she undertook her first stage engagements at Krefeld/Mönchengladbach. In 1997 she joined the opera company of the Bremen Theater am Goetheplatz, moving in 2001 to the Lower Saxony Staatsoper in Hanover. |
