Biography | Simon Armitage CBE, FRSL is an English poet, playwright and novelist. He is professor of poetry at the University of Leeds and succeeded Geoffrey Hill as Oxford Professor of Poetry when he was elected to the four-year part-time appointment from 20152019. Since 10 May 2019 Armitage has been Poet Laureate. |
