| Biography | The London Youth Choir encompasses young people aged 8-21 years through 5 different choirs; London Youth Girls Choir, London Youth Boys Choir, London Youth Training Choir, London Youth Choir and London Youth Chamber Choir. Our five choirs rehearse weekly on Monday evenings during term time at several venues in Central London.
Founded in Autumn 2012 by Suzi Digby OBE and Rachel Staunton, we launched with 150 singers, representing 30 of Londons boroughs. We have now expanded to include all 33 boroughs, with over 200 members, and are growing all the time. Our vision is to inspire young people from all backgrounds to achieve the highest possible standard in choral singing, musicianship and vocal production. (December 2014)
London Youth Choirs is a family of 10 choirs for all young Londoners aged 7-23. Members enjoy great training, amazing performance opportunities, and lasting friendships and memories. Auditions are free, and generous financial assistance is available. (May 2023) |
