Biography | The Oracle Saxophone Quartet was formed in 2013 at the Royal College of Music London. Comprising of an international group of Masters Students from the UK, US and Europe they aim to bring a unique style and global perspective to their wide range of repertoire covering multiple genres. Members include:- Victoria Puttock - Soprano, Ruth Hayes - Alto, Philip Attard - Tenor and Zachary Schwartz - Baritone As winners of the 2014 RCM Woodwind Ensemble Competition the Oracle Quartet have enjoyed many concerts including the opening of the presidential visit for HRH the Prince of Wales, a performance with the up and coming London Electronic Orchestra led by Kate Simko and a recording session with the renowned Composition for Screen department conducted by Alastair King. At the end of the year the quartet had the honour of performing at the Pride of Britain awards and the Royal Variety after show party.
The Quartet regularly perform for a wide range of private events and functions including concerts at the National Portrait Gallery, the Science Museum, the Royal College of Surgeons awards ceremony and a performance with the New Chamber Essentials series at RCM. They are looking forward to building on their recent successes in the coming year with a wide range of performance opportunities |
