Biography | Studying trumpet, piano, composition and orchestration at The Royal College of Music and The Guildhall School of Music and Drama; Steve has performed professional with many international artists including George Michael, Amy Winehouse, Snow Patrol, Lily Allen, Cheryl Cole, Muse, Dizzy Rascal, Mika, Take That, Annie Lennox, Leona Lewis, Tom Jones, Sting, Sir Elton John, Sir Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, Mark Knopfler, The Feeling, McFly, Will Young, Bryan Ferry, Joss Stone, Eric Clapton, Rod Stewart, Stevie Wonder, The Who, Ian Dury, Wet Wet Wet, Charlie Watts and Henry Mancini. Steve is also a current member of the Michael Nyman Band. Steves distinctive and innovative orchestrations and compositions have seen him produce some outstanding and award winning specialist commissions. Steves composition of Elements and Motion written for the 79th Academy Awards with the Hollywood SFX Chorale was Emmy nominated and the sensational Honda Choir won the Gold Lion award in the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival, generally regarded as the most prestigious international advertising festival. Other choir commissions including the opening of The Dubai World Cup, Julies Journey for AMEX and Korobushka for Art On Ice 2011. As Musical Director, Steve has worked on many live productions including Robbie Williams Live At The Albert Hall and The Robbie Williams TV Special, Children In Need Rocks The Albert Hall, The Royal Variety Show, the BBC Olympic Handover Concert, Victoria Woods Christmas Special, Victorias Empire, Chris Moyles Big Quiz Night, Ant & Decs Christmas Show and George Michaels Symphonica Tour. Other credits, as Musical Director & Orchestrator, include the West End smash hit musical We Will Rock You, Viva La Diva with Darcey Bussell and Katherine Jenkins, Dancing On Ice Live Tour and Katherine Jenkins UK and World Believe Tour. Steves love of film has seen his orchestrations appear on some of todays classic movie soundtracks. Providing tracks for the acclaimed and Academy, BAFTA and Golden Globe award winning Moulin Rouge working alongside Baz Lurhman, and again on Romeo and Juliet. Other movie credits include Bridget Jones Diary, Mona Lisa Smile, Disneys Finding Nemo, The New Avengers, 101 Dalmations 2 and Teachers Pet Spongebob Squarepants. With his versatility and specialist approach, as an arranger, Steve has seen album credits flourish with the orchestration and conducting of Robbie Williams multi-platinum selling Swing When Your Winning.
