| Biography | Teddy Murton started boxing at the age of 16 as a pupil of Ben Callicott at the Caprera Boxing Club. He won many contests as a flyweight and was narrowly beaten in the final of the bantamweight championship belt competition at the NSC in 1925. After this, Murton became a featherweight and was considered to be in the running for a math for the featherweight title. |
