Biography | Creative Artists Agency agents Emma Banks and Marlene Tsuchii this year share a spot on Billboards list of top female executives and both have been key to the growth of international business for CAA. Banks, working with Mike Greek at CAAs offices in London, has been instrumental in building global fan bases for acts including Katy Perry, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Florence & the Machine. Banks oversaw Perrys California Dreams world tour and is currently plotting the artists next run. Banks has also been a driving force behind the Chili Peppers first tour in five years, which began in 2011 and was extended to meet demand, spanning more than two years. In addition to routing tours for Neil Finn, Stone Sour and Jason Mraz, Banks is finding nontraditional plays for electronic trailblazer Kraftwerk and plotting the next tour for Arcade Fire. On the artist development side, clients include New Zealand breakout Lorde, Robert DeLong and Raleigh Ritchie. What makes me happy is to see the success of the CAA London office generally, she says. We have had our best year ever, and 2014 looks even better. |
