Biography | Annie McGrath is a comedy writer and performer who has written and appeared on ITV2's @elevenish, as well as Channel 4's Girls Go Trolling. Annie has featured on BBC Radio 4 Extra and BBC Radio Wales. Annie has been shortlisted for the Funny Women award and is a two-time finalist for the Tickled Pig stand-up competition. She has performed at clubs and theatres nationwide, as well as festivals including Latitude and Machynlleth Comedy Festival.
Aside from stand-up, Annie writes and performs as one half of the double-act Twins with Jack Barry (Two razor-sharp comedy minds EdFringe Review). Their 2015 Edinburgh Fringe show Twins: Pret A Comedy at the Pleasance Courtyard was produced in association with Hat Trick Productions to great critical acclaim. Described as genuinely impressive
and ridiculously funny (The Edinburgh Reporter), the show was also selected as one of multiple Edinburgh comedy award nominee James Acasters Top Picks of the Fringe for The Guardian and one of Laugh Out Londons Top Sketch Shows.

Annie founded the University of Leeds Comedy Society and was part of the universitys sketch group The Leeds Tealights for three years as a performer, writer and producer. She was a member of the 2010 Tealights cast that won the National Students Best Student Sketch Group award. Annie has also written for Marie Claire and ASOS. |
