Biography | Nicholas Perfect was born in Birmingham and sang as a chorister at St. Philips Cathedral where he became head chorister in his final year. This both started and nurtured a deep love of choral singing that he has never lost. After studying at Birmingham Conservatoire, He became a Lay Clerk at Chester Cathedral; and after two years he returned to the West Midlands to his busy freelance career both performing and teaching. He has performed as a regular member of several of the countrys leading choral outfits including The Sixteen, Tenebrae, Stile Antico, The BBC Singers and the Gabrieli Consort. He also appears as a soloist and has regularly performed with Ex Cathedra, The Hanover Band, CBSO, and the BBC National Chorus of Wales. Recent performances include Bachs St John Passion, Handels Messiah, Orffs Carmina Burana and Brahms German Requiem. He is currently a Lay Clerk at Gloucester Cathedral and teaches singing in three prestigious nearby schools. |
