BiographyEyvazov was born in Algiers and began his career in Italy after studies with Franco Corelli and Ghena Dimitrova. A dramatic tenor with a specialism in verismo, he has sung for companies including Paris Opéra, Vienna State Opera, Berlin State Opera, Bavarian State Opera, the Metropolitan Opera, New York, Los Angeles Opera, the Bolshoi Opera in Moscow, Mariinsky Theatre, St Petersburg, Rome Opera, and for Salzburg Festival and Arena di Verona. His repertory includes Manrico (Il trovatore), Alfredo (La traviata), Don Carlos, Des Grieux (Manon Lescaut), Rodolfo (La bohème), Mario Cavaradossi (Tosca), Calaf (Turandot), Maurizio (Adriana Lecouvreur) and Canio (Pagliacci). In 2017 he made his debut at La Scala, Milan, as Andrea Chénier and in 2018 he made his role debut as Gherman (The Queen of Spades).

Eyvazov has performed in concerts and opera galas in leading venues worldwide, including for the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, Seoul Arts Centre, Shanghai Grand Theatre, Berlin Waldbühne, Four Seasons Centre in Toronto, Müpa Budapest, New Wave Hall in Sochi, Cologne Philharmonie and Hamburg Laeiszhalle, and on tour throughout Europe, Asia, South America and Australia. His discography includes recordings with Anna Netrebko. Their most recent, Romanza, is of songs written for them by Igor Krutoy.
