Biography | American soprano Francesca Chiejina is currently a member of the Jette Parker Young Artists Programme at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. She previously studied at the University of Michigan with Martha Sheil and James Paterson, and at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Sue McCulloch.
Chiejinas roles at the Royal Opera House this season include Countess Ceprano Rigoletto and Lady-in-Waiting Macbeth. She also sings Micaela La Tragèdie de Carmen (at Wiltons Music Hall) and Melantho The Return of Ulysses (at the Roundhouse). Elsewhere she makes her debut with the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal as Serena Porgy and Bess. |
