Biography | The Passepartout Piano Duo formed in 2011. Willing to explore different styles and making a priority from creating an enjoyable performance for their audience, the duo present a variety of works, ranging from classical to modern, both original compositions and transcriptions, also performing jazz and popular tunes.
Notably the duo have performed in London in St. Mary's Perivale, the RCM, Heath Street Baptist Church, St James's Church Bushey, St. George the Martyr Notting Hill, St. Sepulchre Church, Kensington Central Library, Dartford Parish Church, in Faversham, Sittingbourne and Brighton, UK. Internationally, the duo has performed various repertoires in Tokyo, Japan, as well as Cluj and Arcus, in Romania, and Albignac, in France. They are also frequently requested for private engagements for companies and individuals. Their philanthropic work consists of performing for care homes, hospitals, various charities and schools. Since 2014, the Passepartout Piano Duo is associated with Live Music Now.
Alexandra and Nathan are both passionate educators, recording a variety of teaching repertoire on their Youtube page, as well as offering masterclasses, most recently in Japan in the summer of 2016, at St. Mary's International School and at the Christian Academy Japan, both in Tokyo. More recently the duo has started to perform Nathan's own compositions and arrangements, planning to create more videos and recordings of these in the future. |
