Biography | Aisling McGlynn is from Dublin, Ireland and has sung with choir ANÚNA since she first appeared on the album Christmas with ANÚNA in 2009 at the age of six.
She travelled to China in 2018 performing at the Three Gorges Festival representing Ireland as part of ANÚNA. This was broadcast on Chinese National Television. In 2019 Aisling appeared on Japans NHK TV as part of the legendary Nodojiman, singing the solo part of the classic anime theme Mononoke Hime.
She appears as a soloist on a number of pieces on ANÚNA releases, including Jasmine Flower and Ah, Robin. Aisling appeared with the group on the Voces8 series Live From London, ANÚNA, A Whisper of Paradise as part of the ensemble and as a soloist at Christmas 2020.
In June 2021 she was one of the soloists in the globe-spanning Maalaulu which was commissioned as part of the Tampere Vocal Music Festival. She performed alongside ANÚNA, Finnish soprano Marjukka Tepponen and Isaac S Cates gospel group Ordained from Kansas City, USA. She is the featured soloist on the Christmas single The Wexford Carol released in December 2021.
Aisling features as a soloist on the soundtrack of the video game Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition, composed by Yasunori Mitsuda, to be released on April 7th 2022. She performed as a soloist with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, conductor Eímear Noone, at London's Royal Albert Hall in June where she performed a number of solo songs composed by Yasunori Mitsuda including two from Chrono Cross Dreams of the Past, Memories of My Soul and A Vow of Wind and Dreams. |
