Biography
It was formed on 31 December 1921 as the 16th (County of London) Battalion (Queen's Westminster and Civil Service Rifles), The London Regiment by the amalgamation of the 15th (County of London) Battalion (Prince of Wales's Own Civil Service Rifles), The London Regiment and the 16th (County of London) Battalion (Queen's Westminster Rifles), The London Regiment.
In 1922 it became the 16th London Regiment (Queen's Westminster and Civil Service Rifles). In 1937 it was transferred to the King's Royal Rifle Corps, being renamed as The Queen's Westminsters.
