BiographyHilaire Belloc was a Franco-English writer and historian of the early 20th century. Belloc was also an orator, poet, sailor, satirist, writer of letters, soldier, and political activist.

Despite his mother being an advocate for women's rights, Belloc campaigned against women's suffrage as a member of the Women's National Anti-Suffrage League.
