Biography | Canon Fleming who was educated at Magdalen College, Cambridge, was ordained priest in 1854 and at the time of his death had been rector for 34 yars at St Michael's Church Chester-Square, London. He was appointed chaplain to Queen Victoria in 1880 and on her death assumed the same office in the household of the King, to whom, as Prince of Wales, he had been honorary chaplain for nine years. He was also honorary chaplain to the Duke of Westminster. Canon Fleming was well' known as a preacher and lecturer. |
