Biography | The Danish soprano, Ditte Højgaard Andersen, graduated in 2004 from the Royal Danish Academy of Opera in Copenhagen with Susanna Eken as her voice coach.
Andersen is recognized as one of Scandinavias leading coloratura sopranos. With her vibrant timbre she interprets even the most demanding roles effortlessly. She holds Baroque music close to her heart, but during the last years she has developed her repertoire to include W.A. Mozart as well as Richard Strauss.
She started her career as a principal soloist at the Deutsche Oper Berlin (2006-2008), where the highlights of her engagements included Sophie in Der Rosenkavalier, Susanna in W.A. Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro, Fiaker-Mili in Arabella, Waldvogel in Siegfried, Lisa in La Sonnambula, Pepa in Tiefland and a staged performance of Carmina Burana. |
