| Biography | Lord Halifax married Camilla Younger, of the Scottish brewing family, in 1976. Her first husband, Richard Parker Bowles, is the brother of Andrew Parker Bowles, himself the first husband of the current Duchess of Cornwall; Lady Halifax and the Duchess were therefore once sisters-in-law.
Lord and Lady Halifax together have two children, a son and a daughter: From her first marriage Lady Halifax also has a daughter, named Emma Parker Bowles. The Earl and Countess live on the 13,000 acre family estate Garrowby Hall near Garrowby, Yorkshire. Lady Halifax is the national president of Macmillan Cancer Support. |
