Performing in public concerts, radio and TV broadcasts, CD recordings, and film soundtracks, their repertoire has covered the gamut of composers and styles and taken them to most of the UK's major concert halls, cathedrals and recording venues. The singers are handpicked according to the repertoire and have often featured in ApolloVoices projects as step-out soloists to great acclaim.
Apollo Voices provides vocal ensembles tailor-made to any musical requirements. They have performed at the Proms, the Barbican, the Royal Festival Hall and many of the countrys other leading venues and cathedrals in a wide variety of repertoire, ranging from Mozart to Birtwistle and beyond! Radio and TV appearances have seen the choirs profile enhanced further by recordings for the Chandos, Decca, Sony, Telarc, Virgin Classics and Warner Classics record labels whilst concerts abroad have included a live performance of the soundtrack to Stanley Kubricks classic film 2001: A Space Odyssey in Shanghai.
Studio appearances have included video game recordings and the movie soundtracks for Kenneth Branagh's film version of Mozart's The Magic Flute (libretto by Stephen Fry) and Harry Gregson-Williams' scores of Arthur Christmas (Sony Pictures) and Prometheus (20th Century Fox), Life in a Day and Shrek Forever After (Universal Pictures). |
