BiographyFrederick Dawson pursued a successful career in his homeland and in Europe. He also taught at the Royal Manchester College of Music (from 1893) and at the Royal College of Music in London. His repertoire was extensive, embracing the early English virginalists through the French Impressionists of his own era. He published the study The Pianoforte (Glasgow, 1922).
