Biography | Stuart Burrows OBE was a Welsh operatic tenor. He earned worldwide recognition for being adept at oratorios and operas and specializing in the music of Puccini, Verdi, Donizetti, and especially Mozart, earning him the title of "The King of Mozart."
His career took in the Met Opera in New York for 12 seasons and he also appeared at the Carnegie Hall in New York, and the Royal Opera House in London. At the height of his career - in the 1970s and 80s - Burrows starred in his own BBC Two series, Stuart Burrows Sings. |
