Performance NotesNora Blackwood's demonstration:
"Nora, as first demonstrator, paced the platform as she spoke of an Air Force boy she could see. He gave the name Harold. So that there would be no doubt about who the message was for, the communicator added the information that he came down in Egypt, had lived in Liverpool and his friends called him Mac. A voice answered from the very top of the many-tiered hall. Mrs Elizabeth Geuzetian... recognised the communiator as her cousin. 'Just my luck to get someone in the gods,' laughed Nora. Then, referring to his nickname, Nora asked if he was Harold McIlvey or something that sounded like it. The recipient acknowledged this. The spirit communicator's name was Harold McAleavy. ... 'He's helping Peter,' said Nora... Mrs Geuzetian acknowledged this. Peter is her son. He has been in hospital since 1956, suffering from the delayed effect of an air raid. His spine is injured and he cannot speak. Nora said her mother passed on a long time before her father. Correct again. The medium spoke of a Len, connected with Canada or America. She said the recipient did not know if Len was on earth or in the spirit world. He had returned through Nora to give the answer. ...
To anorther recipient, Stanley Arthur Jenkins... she communicated a messahe from his 'dead' brother Leslie; giving his full name. She told him, too, that his morther had passed when she was in the 80s. There was a little confusion when the medium spoke of a Gwyneth Jenkins... She had been a neighbour. Then Nora spoke of his brother having Army and Far East connections. In fact this was Gwyneth's borther whom he had known."

Stanley Poulton's demonstration:
"Stanley won acclaim with his very first spirit message. At first it caused confusion when a man and a woman both claimed the soldier who was communicating and giving his name as Walter. Stanley told them both to listen and then said the boy had been killed in World War II, had been missing for some time and his mother was in spirit. They both agreed! The medium likes a challenge. 'He says he was linked with the East,' Stanley added. Only the woman recipient understood this. The message was for her. Stanley's evidence soon clinched this. 'He's taking me back five days in time. He says he was with you when you were going through some photographs.' - Yes. 'One was damaged.' - Yes. 'He's giving me the month of December.' Yes that's his birthday. 'I'm linking with the letter M' - That's my initial. 'There was also a photograph of a dog. He now has that dog with him.' - I expect so. 'Don't expect so, he has! I'm telling you!' laughed Poulton. 'He sends his love to three of you... say Yes or No only.' - Yes. 'Can you connect me with Florrie or Molly?' - I'm Molly. 'He's also linking me with Cyril.' - That's my husband. 'Is your husband with you?' - No. 'Good I can say what I like about him,' joked Poulton. 'Walter says 'He's never believe you.' - No he won't. 'Is the man sitting next to you with you?' - Yes. 'But you're not related.' - No. 'Walter says 'I'm watching you, old boy.' Didn't he know you when he was on earth?' Yes. 'Sir there's a young man who comes to you... in uniform. He points to his uniform and says, 'I got through this ruddy lot, and then I was killed on the road.' - Yes quite right. 'Walter has linked with this boy. Who is Doug?' - That's him. 'And he speaks of Auntie Emmie.' - That's my wife. 'She is taking me back four or five weeks in time, to the anniversary, when she was with you. Do you understand?' - Yes. 'She says you are wearing a ring. But you don't always have it on. It only fits your small finger.' - Yes quite right. 'And it was a wedding anniversary a few weeks ago.' Yes. 'Emmie speaks of July.' Yes. 'And would you understand why her hair worried her before her passing?' - Yes I would. ..."
