"Lord and Lady Dawson of Penn welcomed nearly 6,000 guests at a reception and dance given by the British Medical Association at the Royal Albert Hall last night on the occasion of the centenary meeting. Later Lord Dawson receieved on behalf of the association the portrait by Sir Alfred Cope, RA of Dr Alfred Cox, it's retiring medical secretary. At midnight medical students and nurses from the dramatic societies of various London hospitals took part on the pageant, produced by Herman Darewski, illustrating the progress of medicine since the foundation of the Association."
