Her Majesty and the Duke of Edinburgh were received by Sir Louis Gluckstein (President, Royal Albert Hall) and the Secretary of State fro Defence, the Rt. Hon. Frederick Mulley MP and the Commandant General, Royal Marines, Lt-Gen. J C C Richards.

Lady Abel Smith, Mr Robert Fellowes, Lt-Colonel Blair Stewart Wilson and Captain Duncan Christie-Miller RM were in attendance.
