Performance NotesAs part of the 'Inspiring Women' campaign, this flagship event for the Music sector will see 240 schoolgirls come to the Hall to meet 30 women who work in the music industry. The event was hosted to broaden young women's minds to the range of jobs that are available within a sector that shows a worrying gender imbalance. This is highlighted through findings such as Creative & Cultural Skills report, which highlights that the gender divide across all music industry related jobs is 67.8% male to 32.2% female. In an attempt to tackle this issue we will welcome an exciting mix of inspirational women, from musicians and composers to engineers and producers.

The main event will take place on the Arena floor, with the women volunteers speaking to groups of schoolgirls about their job roles and career paths. After this a group of approx 30 girls and the 30 volunteers will have refreshments in BBR and will then take part in a Q&A style event with special guest Marin Alsop.
