| Performance Notes | Enjoy inspirational performances by outstanding young performers from the Royal College of Music, whilst enjoying a hot drink and a pastry.
The Manon Quartet was formed in 2013 by musicians from the Royal College of Music. Since playing together, they have won the Helen Just & Susan Connell RCM String Quartet competition and the Cavatina intercollegiate string quartet competition.
The quartet has worked with distinguished chamber musicians such as Mark Messenger, Miguel Da Silva, Christoph Richter, Pavel Fischer, Simone Fontanelli and Simon Roland-Jones, among others. In June 2014 they became the resident young string quartet at the Northern Chords Music Festival. They have a varied repertoire ranging from classical to contemporary, and regularly collaborate with composers to perform new works for string quartet. |
