| Performance Notes | Violinist Jennifer Pike is soloist and director in an evening of well-loved classics featuring music by Vivaldi, Tchaikovsky and Elgar. She is joined by an ensemble of outstanding virtuosi with whom she has shared many musical experiences over the past few years
Renowned as a violinist with dazzling interpretative flair and exemplary technique (Classic FM), Jennifer Pike was the youngest ever winner of BBC Young Musician of the year when, aged 12, she was awarded the title back in 2002. Since then, she has performed extensively as a soloist with major orchestras worldwide, including the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, Singapore Symphony Orchestra and Vienna Symphony. She has received several other musical awards and is a sought-after recitalist. In 2015 she will make her debut at Carnegie Hall with the New York Chamber Orchestra and also appear with Malmo, Ulster, Oslo, BBC NOW and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. |
