Performance Notes | New Zealand baritone, Julien Van Mellaerts, is in his first year of the RCM International Opera School studying with Dinah Harris as a Fishmongers' Company Scholar supported by a Toeman Weinberger Award. Lucy Colquhoun graduated with a Masters in Performance in Piano Accompaniment from the Royal College of Music having studied with Roger Vignoles and John Blakely. She won all the available major prizes for piano accompaniment, including the Alisdair Graham Prize for Piano Accompaniment, the Joan Chissel Schumann Prize and the Titanic Memoriam Prize in the Lies Askonas Singing Competition. Their concert will include selected songs by Strauss, Duparc, Debussy's 'Fêtes Galantes' and selected songs from Brahms' 'Die schöne Magelone'. |
