| Performance Notes | Award-winning pop opera group IL VOLO is one of the biggest names in the classical-crossover genre, with a sound that combines traditional opera, pop, and classical symphonic music. In 2017 they head to the Royal Albert Hall London making their debut performance at the historic venue on Tuesday 23 May.
Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschett and Gianluca Ginoble were discovered by renowned manager Michel Torpedine, who is regarded worldwide as the man who discovered the great Italian tenor, Andrea Bocelli.
In just a few years, Il Volo continue to astonish audiences all over the world with their vocal talent and stage presence, becoming worldwide multi-platinum recording artists. Their most recent release Notte Magica is a tribute to the Three Tenors. Stirring the memories of those who experienced José Carreras, Placido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti singing in Rome, 26 years ago at the Teatro delle Terme di Caracalla in an historic performance, and allowing younger fans to discover the magic of the night.

After the overture of the main act, Il Volo made an announcement in memory of those affected by the events in Manchester the previous evening, 22 May 2017, when an Islamist extremist suicide bomber detonated a shrapnel-laden homemade bomb as people were leaving the Manchester Arena following a concert by American pop singer Ariana Grande. |
