Performance Notes | In this special, one-off show Roxanne Tataei celebrates the release of her second album, Full Moon in Aries in the Royal Albert Halls intimate North Circle Bar.
Roxanne Tataeis critically-acclaimed debut album Memoirs was released in 2010 on formidable indie label Rough Trade. The LP led to an extensive period of touring worldwide, supporting the likes of Florence and the Machine and Raphael Saadiq, and collaborations with the likes of Mark Ronson, Paul Weller and Nitin Sawhney.
Wanderlust sated, the last few years have been dedicated to writing and recording new material. The end of 2015 saw the release of the Grey Area EP, which Wonderland Magazine described as one of the years most intoxicating EPs
a spellbinding collection of trap and soul sounds mixed together in a winding, hypnotic melting pot.
With her second full-length album Full Moon In Aries completed, Roxanne co-produced tracks with new collaborators including Nick Trepka (Emmy the Great), Grammy Award-winning producer Al Shux (Lana Del Rey, Alicia Keys) and NTS maverick Lord Tusk (Mos Def, Dean Blunt) in tow, she is gearing up for her upcoming album launch more expressive, exploratory and emancipated than ever before.
Expect very exciting things from Roxanne, who describes herself and her new music as the love child of Minnie Riperton and Stevie Nicks, by way of South London. This will be Roxannes first headline London show in a very long time, and will feature some very special guests, including support act CKtrl. This is definitely one not to be missed! |
