Performance Notes | Our intimate Late Night Jazz series presents sensational music in the Royal Albert Halls Elgar Room.
Women and the Hall celebrates the women who were instrumental in the fight for womens suffrage, and provides a platform for the women who are shaping our future, through a season of talks, film screenings and performances.
ISQ take the conventional jazz line-up as a mere starting point. The quartet consists of Richard Sadler on double bass, Chris Nickolls on drums, John Crawford on piano, and singer Irene Serra, whose strong stage presence and a compelling vocal tone is used to great effect on original songs that defy categorisation.
Their second studio album Too was a Time Out Critics Choice in 2015 and has seen them firmly establish a reputation as an emerging force in both creativity and performance. This concert will see ISQ previewing material from their much-anticipated third release. |
