Performance Notes | The Whos Roger Daltrey is a longstanding patron of Teenage Cancer Trust and has been the driving force behind the Royal Albert Halls concerts in aid of the charity since they began in 2000.
Daltreys solo career outside of The Who, began in 1973 promoting the single Giving It All Away which reached number five in the UK charts. Roger has appeared on stage away from The Who on many occasions, and his 1994 solo concert at New Yorks Carnegie Hall, with The Juillard Orchestra, was the fastest selling event in the venues history.
Special guests performing on stage this evening, for the first time in the UK and making their Royal Albert Hall debut, will be Dr. Peppers Jaded Hearts Club Band. Muse frontman Matt Bellamy will lead a super group of musicians including Graham Coxon through a hit laden set of Beatles covers.
2018 sees the 18th year of Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall. The shows are the charitys flagship annual fundraiser and raise millions to provide specialist care for young people with cancer.
