| Performance Notes | Celebrating 10 years of Late Night Jazz in the Elgar Room, with the freshest sounds on the London jazz scene. Ariwo sculpt an immersive sound world using a base of Afro-Cuban polyrhythms, carnival melodies, cosmic jazz and live electronics.
The band brings together acclaimed Iranian electronic composer, Pouya Ehsaei, Latin Grammy-winning percussion virtuoso Hammadi Valdes, figurehead of Londons Cuban music scene, Oreste Noda and Ropeadopes award-winning jazz trumpeter, Jay Phelps. Specially for this show, the band will also collaborate with pianist and former Late Night Jazz guest, Elliot Galvin. |
