Performance Notes | Sadly the much-loved annual Prom Praise concert at the Hall was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, however the All Souls Music team have pulled together this special virtual concert for you to enjoy from the comfort of your own home.
For more than 40 years, the All Souls Orchestra has been delighted to bring hope-filled music to capacity crowds and this year, the world as it is, should be no exception. Never before has it been possible to welcome a limitless audience, no tickets or travel required! Through the gifts of technology, international guest artists, Lucy Grimble, Brian Doerksen, concert pianist Grace Yeo, and a few other surprise pop-ins will join a global gathering of All Souls Orchestra and Massed Prom Praise Choir.
Meet new Principal Conductor, Michael Andrews as he directs a virtual choir and orchestra of over 225 musicians in the anthem God is Our Strength and Refuge, hear a word of encouragement from All Souls Rector, Hugh Palmer, and enjoy archival footage of some of the performances in the Royal Albert Hall over many years, under the direction of Conductor Emeritus Noel Tredinnick.
The event was able to be watched from YouTube and the Royal Albert hall's website. |
