| Performance Notes | "At 1/4 to 4 went with Beatrice [Princess Beatrice], Leopold [Prince Leopold, Duke of Albany] and the suite to a concert at the Albert Hall, where I was received by Affie [Prince Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh] and 2 of the principal people. The Hall was very full and there were great crowds outside. We went in Town Coaches the Equiries riding. The Concert was excellent. Albani's singing of the well known Aria from the "Puritani", which I had not heard for years, was quite beautiful, every note, even the softest could be heard with perfect distinctness. The selections of Russian sacred music (choral) very fine. We stopped till after a solo on the organ and got back at 1/4 to 6."
