Performance Notes | "...a children's entertainment was given before a vast audience at the Albert Hall on Saturday afternoon, when the chair was taken by Canon Fleming. The whole of the arena was occupied by Dr Barnardo's waif children, the boys smartly clad as young naval seaman, and the girls in neat serge frocks and white aprons, wearing straw hats trimmed with crimson, yellow, pale green, pink, Oxford, or Cambridge blue ribbons."
