Performance NotesThe annual performance of Handel’s sacred oratorio Messiah returns to the Hall as part of our 2021 Christmas season. Having featured in our programme a total of 566 times since 1872, Handel’s Messiah is a true Royal Albert Hall tradition.

This year’s concert features the majestic sounds of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the sublime voices of the Philharmonia Chorus, accompanied by special guest vocalists Masabane Cecilia Rangwanasha, Claire Barnett-Jones, Thomas Atkins and Simon Shibambu, led by conductor Sian Edwards.

The magic of a full choir singing this beloved masterpiece in our iconic auditorium makes Handel’s Messiah at the Hall a Christmas concert not to be missed!
