Performance Notes | Saxophonist Trish Clowes and pianist Ross Stanley bring their duos interplay to the intimate surroundings of the Elgar Room.
Former BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist, Trish has received critical acclaim for all six of her album releases, and her band MY IRIS have been hailed as the jazz of the future (Augsburger Allgemeine). Her performances include the Barbican, Toronto Jazz Festival, Royal Festival Hall, Wigmore Hall, and broadcasts for the BBC.
Since accepting a place at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2000, Ross has been kept in high demand, playing with the likes of Guy Barker and Eddie Gomez, and has toured with Tom Jones, Alfie Boe and Rebecca Ferguson, to name a few.
For this performance, they will present their own interpretations of, and improvisations on, a diverse range of music, as well as solo compositions from each of them. |
