Performance NotesA week of gigs at the Royal Albert Hall in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust opens with a special gig from British rock band Don Broco.

The Bedford rock band will be celebrating at the Royal Albert Hall. Having released three acclaimed albums, the recent Amazing Things became their first number 1 this month, after over a decade of building their dedicated fan base. Fusing elements of alt-rock, post-hardcore and nu-metal, the record came out digitally in October, but the recently released vinyl and cassette formats pushed it immediately to the nation’s number 1 record.

This show is supporting Teenage Cancer Trust. Every day, seven young people aged 13-24 hear the words “you have cancer”. Cancer can throw young people’s lives into chaos, leaving them feeling isolated, scared and out of control.

Teenage Cancer Trust puts young people in the best possible place, physically, mentally and emotionally, for their cancer treatment and beyond. They do it through their expert nurses, support teams, and hospital units. And they are the only UK charity dedicated to providing this specialised nursing care and support.

Young people with cancer have never needed that support more, which is why getting back on stage at the Royal Albert Hall plays such a vital part in making sure no young person faces cancer alone.

"Can't put into words how phenomenal this night was, when we strated DB never in my wildest dreams I thought we'd be playing the ROYAL ALBERT HALL alongside an orchestra & choir, and for such a brilliant cause @TeenageCancer.
A massive thank you to everyone involved (and there were a lot of people!) & the best crowd ever I'm so happy we got to share this moment together xxx"

Some fans queued from the early hours of the day outside Door 1 to get to the front of the arena. The arena crowd formed a circle mosh pit and to end the gig fans took off their t-shirts and waved them in the air.
